This thoughtfully designed course was created for the exploration of new and inspiring possibilities for the art therapist, play therapist and teacher who work with young children. and want to embellish their assessment skills, observation skills and material exploration.
This class will explore the Reggio Emilia Approach and the adaptation of its many characteristics into the therapeutic realm.
- See, hear, touch the Hundred Languages of Children and hear the history and approach of the Reggio Emilia Schools
- Explore Reggio-inspired materials, environments and presentation techniques through experiential directives
- Try documentation and assessment styles that are used by the Reggio Emilia Schools and can be adapted to the therapeutic setting
This class will be a creative educational experience that will be packed with creative ideas. You will walk away with resources, new techniques and a way to continue sessions and classroom experiences with Reggio in mind.

Connie runs Interactive and Creative Classes with emerging direction. She has a number of teaching years and is also a board certified art therapist. She has worked with all ages and stages. An Adler graduate in counseling, psychotherapy and art therapy, Connie also has degrees in special education, science and experience working in multiple expressive art modalities.
