Theatre is a profound and magical art form. It has the power to transport you to unknown places, to make you laugh and cry, and to start important conversations. Theatre also has an innate power to teach you about yourself. This is where the experience begins. Through a series of writing and performance exercises, participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery in a safe and therapeutically nurturing environment. Participants will explore their emerging place in the world and make some sense of the often complicated, and sometimes painful emotions they experience. Working individually and collaboratively, participants will utilize raw material gained from written work, on-your-feet improvisation games and theatre exercises to create a performance piece. The culmination of this experience will be the sharing of this piece for invited family and friends.
