Yoga Calm is a program that combines yoga with social/emotional learning. Yoga Calm focuses on teaching strategies that kids can utilize to manage anxiety, depression, sleep concerns, concentration concerns, and friendships. Through experiential activities, Yoga Calm helps young people learn life lessons.
The Yoga Calm group at Playmore & Prosper will be helpful for kids ages 8-11 who need more tools for calming their bodies. Yoga Calm will be held from 6-6:45pm on Thursdays in May/June for 6 weeks. The cost will be $60 for all 6 weeks of class.
Yoga Calm for Kids
Carli Andersen holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed social worker. She also has a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Adler Graduate School.
Since 2004, Carli has been working at the Master's level and has worked with kids/teens from ages 2-19 years old. As a School Social Worker, she has worked in various settings such as schools and clinical settings. Carli has been trained in modalities including Yoga Calm, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy.
