T. Rob Winkler

MA, LP, RPT-S

I am the owner and founder of Playmore & Prosper, and I am thrilled to be able to offer innovative, experiential internships – or what I like to call “apprenticeships!”  I enjoy the opportunity to help clients find what they need through a creative experience in addition to conventional talk therapy. I embrace activity-based therapeutic approaches, which facilitate communication or insight otherwise unable to be heard and recognized through normal dialogue. Activities provide an opportunity for the mind, body and soul to gain understanding and thereby foster a personal growth experience.

About the Program

I am proud to employ a unique therapeutic team approach with an apprentice intern working with me to offer more comprehensive therapy than I could offer by myself. From the start of working with a new client, my intern will be by my side. In the initial client meeting, my intern will be taking notes while I facilitate conversation with the client and family. During all of my therapy sessions with clients, the intern will be observing the session through an observation window. After each session, the intern and I will explore and evaluate my therapeutic effectiveness and identify opportunities for the next session. The intern will then visit the client’s home once a week to lead a 1-2 hour in-home family session to expand and strengthen the work done in the office. This approach offers more observation, intervention, and evaluation of the therapy process, making it a comprehensive model for client care and a thorough learning experience for the intern.
